Jeff Hawkes - President & CEO
Before beginning a formal career in real estate development, Jeff Hawkes spent more than 20 years in the financial services industry, excelling in all aspects of the trade from Certified Financial Planner to personal financial consultant to national speaker. His experience in this sector groomed him for his first entrepreneurial endeavor – Emerald Publications, which he established with a partner in 1986. As a principal and owner, Jeff was instrumental in growing the business, spearheading national sales, conducting nationwide seminars and developing high level relationships with some of the largest banking, brokerage and insurance firms in the country. After more than 10 years and explosive sales growth, Emerald Publications was sold in 1998 to Fiserv and as a testament to his vision and determination, continues to function as a successful publications organization.
It was after the sale of Emerald in 1999 that Jeff began to formally pursue his life long interest in real estate. Beginning with Hawks Ventures, LLC, a modest sized real estate investment firm, and ultimately taking the company through several growth phases into Hawks Development, the successful enterprise it is today, it is Jeff's passion for real estate, strong finance background and individual project successes that allow him to reinvent and adapt his business model as the industry changes and shifts.
Jeff was educated at Brigham Young University and the College for Financial Planning. He is an Idaho native with strong ties to the region. Jeff is married to Shelley and resides in Bountiful, Utah. They are the parents of five children, four girls and a boy. Jeff enjoys most sports and fitness. At this point in his life, he enjoys skiing, biking and hiking for outdoor recreation.
