ABOUT HAWKS DEVELOPMENT

Founded in 2006 by Jeff Hawkes (and originally titled Hawkes Holdings LLC), Hawks Development is an outgrowth of Hawkes Ventures, LLC, a real estate development company formed by Jeff in February, 1999.  Our mission is to pursue land acquisition, land entitlement and land development opportunities in the western US and Sunbelt.  Our strategy is to add substantial value to the land we acquire by enhancing the density and securing entitlements that realize the highest and best use of the land.  After entitlement Hawks Development may act as the developer to improve the property through infrastructure improvements and vertical construction. 

With the difficultly and complexity of land planning, combined with a diminishing supply of available land, the opportunity for Hawks Development is substantial.  The ever increasing environmental and political challenges have added a layer of risk and uncertainty that many large companies who must answer to the public markets can no longer accept.  The smaller firms simply do not have the financial resources, expertise or time to entitle land. Consequently, there is tremendous demand from real estate construction companies, who are constantly seeking finished lots or fully entitled land.  Hawks Development can assist a land owner seeking to improve his land to its highest and best use.

Jeff Hawkes, Principal has extensive experience in the financial services industry, finance, sales and marketing, commercial and residential real estate construction, and investing.  Jeff’s deep connection in the financial markets, ability to joint venture, and raise capital is a key ingredient to Hawks Development’s ability to perform.
